Position Title: Sector Specialists – Incubation Manager (Healthcare/Health Tech/MedTech/ Public Health)
Nature of Employment: Contractual for a period of 11 Months and extendable subsequently.
About the Organization:
IIPH NIDHI-TBI For Public Health (IIPH-NIDHI TBI) Gandhinagar, is a technology business incubator set up under the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations (NIDHI) It is catalyzed and supported by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and hosted by Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar (IIPHG). This position is for the role of Sector Specialist (Incubation Manager) for IIPH NIDHI TBI For Public Health.
The vision of IIPH NIDHI TBI is translating commercially viable innovative solutions for public health. Its focus areas are diagnostic and predictive health, preventive health, non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases and health systems. It has laboratory facilities for prototyping, electronics, life sciences and biotechnology.
Manage and oversee the incubator facility.
Establish collaborations with other incubators, institutes, hospitals, and industries involved in Bio entrepreneurship/Health System enterprises.
To scout & evaluate start-up idea in the field of Biotechnology/Biomedical/Bioinformatics/Biopharma/Healthcare/ Life Sciences and allied areas under Health System.
Technical know-how of managing a full-fledged laboratory in the health system space and familiarity with handling various biological laboratory equipment.
To engage with key stakeholders to improve outcomes, build support and secure resources.
Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in startup environment.
Development of appropriate branding strategy and preparing marketing material to promote IIPH NIDHI TBI and startups.
Interact and maintain relationships with startups, innovators researchers and mentors.
Develop proposal for procuring matched grants, develop network with the local or regional healthcare institutions such as hospitals, medical colleges, pharma companies, reagent suppliers and allied organization and assigned by supervisor.
Assist in handholding & mentoring incubates for rollout plan.
Qualification (Essential): A Graduate and/or Postgraduate from any nationally reputed Institute/university in science or technology background.
Desirable: MBA /PGDBM from a reputed university is preferable.
Experience: Having approximately 3 years of overall work experience, with preferably two or more years of experience in the startup/ Innovation /entrepreneurship domain, either as a startup founder/co-founder/core team member and/or as an enabler of startup/Innovation ecosystem.
The candidate may have worked in a health care innovation as an Incubation manager of startup incubator will be given preference.
Other desirable characteristics:
Candidates should have good communication skills, entrepreneurial nature, a commitment to high-quality work and a good team player. Working experiences in health-related startups and NGOs with reasonably good growth and success story would be preferred.
Annual Salary (CTC) will be based on the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process. The salary will be approximately INR 5.40 to 6.60 lakhs per Annum.
